Well I was hoping to do it, but I was unwilling to try it without help. When no rescuer showed I finally bit the bullet and finally I got the focus to follow the instructions. It was frustrating because some information is assumed and I am unexperienced in linking. Susan at Afford your Passions opened a linky party for stitching of all kinds and I submitted Nathan's Blanket. It is a shale pattern in burgundy and cream acrylic and is over sized approx 50 inches by 66. His Mom wanted an oversized blanket so they could wrap him up thru childhood. I don't know how to link to my own stuff within the site yet, so if you can teach me I would be grateful! So go to http://www.livingbytheshore.com/ and check out my first linky!
I might not know the answer but I know how to find it. I am a doula and wish to be a resource to new moms providing information and services for birth and breastfeeding. I also craft and make handmade items for fun and sale.

More finished items
Lets see, what photos do we have today? This is a very soft and light baby blanket in acylic. It was gifted to Alonah earlier this month. The bottom edge was wavy. I went to redo it but I had already woven in the end and couldn't find it. So it waves on. It is a simple basket weave and I worked on it most while waiting with Virginia as she labored with Emme.
It is white with light purple and pink. I really want more of this yarn.I think its sport wieght.
These are Abby's birthday gift. She was using Nathaniels newborn diapers for stuffed animals and those cost money honey, soooo Yaya made her some cloth toy diapers. Super cute, really easy. Well that's it for today, now that I know how to post photos I will do so more often.

Summer sizzle
Wow, I never realized just what blogging takes. I have gone on a walk about in the blogosphere to see what I like and don't like about blogs. While I am passionate about birth I am also emeshed in crafting. Sooo I will also include my crafting and finished items in the blog. I will also put up some items for sale as well as accept custom orders. I knit, crochet, sew and quilt. I am sure of of types of crafts that want exploring too. I will hopefully learn to design or film tutorials, though in the mean time I will refer ones online already. Since babies are a constant many items will be oreinted on infants things. I will publish some finishes items tomorrow,as long as I can figure out how LOLOL.

Recap 2010
Hey there I am back. It has been a busy Fall/Winter so far. I was so busy in Nov/Dec that I really didn't even think about this blog. I know not good. However we did add two babies to the family and we are awaiting one more. Now for full disclosure one of those babes is a family friend, but we are so close we wish we were family! One is my new grand daughter Emme, and the other is Tristyn our friends son. Emme took 3 days of induction ending in an emergency c-section. My daughter worked so hard and did everything required to birth her child but her head was stuck! Oddly my daughter was stuck also and by a fluke she was freed to be born vaginally. I was sorry that it took so long for Emme, but both are fine and thriving.
Tristyn is a gorgeous boy who took 18 hours by induction. His mom was so strong! She never really cried out, took no pain meds, had pitocin and cervadil and rode her birth pains like a surfer. She stayed above them by meditating and breathing. She is marvleous. Both these ladies are breastfeeding and have had minor issues. I am so gratefull that they are devoted to their babies and are willing to give so much of themselves.
I have also been busy sewing, knitting and crocheting. Mostly baby stuff but for some adults too. I will post photos of some as soon as I figure out how to LOL.
